About us

The Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI) is an agency under the Danish Ministry of Immigration and Integration.

We process applications for residence and work permits for third-country (non-EU/EEA) citizens who wish to reside in Denmark in order to work or study. We ensure easy access to Denmark for EU/EEA citizens. The objective is to enable companies and educational institutions in Denmark to recruit qualified employees and students.

We advise and support Danish municipalities and NGOs in receiving and integrating foreign nationals into Danish society and preventing honour-related conflicts. In addition, we develop study materials and tests in Danish language proficiency and knowledge about Denmark.

Residing, working, and studying in Denmark

We process applications from third-country nationals for residence and work permits and help EU citizens use their right to free movement.

A third-country national is a citizen of a country outside the Nordic countries, the EU/EEA and Switzerland. Third-country nationals who wish to work or study in Denmark, Greenland or the Faroe Islands must have a residence permit.

Please note that applications for permanent residence permits and residence permits on the basis of asylum or family reunification are processed by the Danish Immigration Service.
